President: Ty Robinson, Air Force Veteran

Ty is a U.S. Air Force Veteran, originally from Columbia, SC. He served as an Engineering Technician and Honor Guard Trainer for the 15th Wing under Pacific Air Forces. Ty is currently majoring in Criminal Justice and is due to graduate in the Fall of 2020. During his active duty service, he provided Optical and Global Positioning System surveys to Airfield Operations, Base Security and Planning, Emergency Management, and Pre-Design Operations on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawai'i. Since the Fall of 2017 he has worked as a VA Work-Study, Student Assistant and Designer/Editor of the SITREP newsletter for Clemson Military and Veteran Engagement out of the Clemson Student Veterans Center.

Vice President: Chad Sommers, Marine Corps Veteran

Chad is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran originally from Williamston, South Carolina. He served almost 13 years as an infantryman in various jobs including an 0311 for the 2nd Battallion 8th Marines, a Black Shirt Instructor for recruits at MCRD Parris Island, and an instructor at School of Infantry East at Camp Geiger, North Carolina. Chad is scheduled to graduate in Fall 2020 with a Bachelors in Clemson Criminal Justice and minor in Psychology. Chad has two sons (15 + 11) who are his motivation to succeed and during his free time you can find him with friends or working at Sharp Shooters on the weekends.

Secretary: Mariel LeCouter, Navy Veteran

Mariel is a U.S. Navy Veteran originally from Fairfax, Virginia. On active duty, she served as an Intelligence Analyst for the NSA. She is currently majoring in Food Science and Human Nutrition and is scheduled to graduate Spring 2021. In her free time, Mariel enjoys tutoring school age children in Math and Science which she has been doing since 2016. When she’s not doing school work or tutoring, you can find Mariel supporting various veteran engagement efforts in the community.

Treasurer: Victoria Graham, Navy Veteran

Victoria is a U.S. Sailor, originally from Puckett, Mississippi. She served as an Interior Communications Electrician with an emphasis on the ship’s phone system onboard the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) where she deployed for 10 months in 2013. She is a dual degree major in Accounting and Financial Management with an emphasis in Financial Planning with plans to graduate in December 2020. She has been involved in the Clemson Student Veteran Association since starting at Clemson in the Spring of 2018. She also currently serves as the Vice President of Clemson's Military Council, is a member of Delta Sigma Pi - a Professional Business Fraternity, Clemson's Women's Club Rugby Team, and Clemson's Financial Planning Association.

Event Coordinator: John Wilde, Navy Veteran

John Wilde is a Navy Veteran, originally from South Carolina. John served 8 years onboard the USS Decatur (DDG-73) and USS Pinckney (DDG-91) as Operations Specialist. He served 3 deployments for the 5th and 7th fleets. He is now a Mechanical Engineering major, minoring in Business Graduation expected to graduate in the next 2-3 years.

Social Media Coordinator: Kenedey Ward, Marine Corps Family

Kenedey is family to a medically retired Marine Corps 0341 who served with the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Through this service member, she found her passion for pro-active education and advocacy efforts in veteran transitions back to civilian life. Focusing most on those with a disability rating and their families. She is majoring in Communication with a minor in Non-Profit Leadership scheduled to graduate early 2020. Outside of this role, she is a mother to two boys (5 + 2), Project R.E.D. Team Member for Hope For The Day’s efforts on preventing veteran suicides, and a youth leader for FUSE out of NewSpring Church in Anderson. SC.
